About Me

I can help you navigate life’s challenges, overcome roadblocks, and build the skills and insight needed to live your life to the fullest.

Our work together will be collaborative. From the first session, we’ll set goals and intentions in therapy. What do you want to get out of our work together? What are your most pressing concerns? We’ll decide on an immediate therapy goal and get to work, tracking our progress along the way.

Our work together will look a bit different depending on what we’re working on.

Anxiety: If you struggle with anxiety, know that you are not alone. These issues can range from troublesome to debilitating, and I provide a warm, supportive environment to address and navigate these painful feelings.

Adult ADHD: We will work on managing the symptoms of ADHD that might be creating obstacles to leading the life you want. We practice skills to increase organization and decrease distractibility, and address secondary issues that may arise, such as low self-esteem, relationship problems, challenges at work, anxiety, depression and shame.

Depression: Maybe you're feeling sad or empty, you're unmotivated and are isolating from friends and family, you aren't sleeping well (or are sleeping a lot), you're having a hard time concentrating, or are feeling hopeless with suicidal thoughts. I’ll create a space where you can feel safe to share troubling thoughts and feelings, where we can examine negative thoughts and actions and consider other options. Through our work together, we focus on reconnecting you with your strengths and fortifying them to help create a more adaptive view of yourself and the world.

Grief and Loss: We all experience the pain of loss during our lives. Grief is a normal response to loss and there is no "right" way to grieve. These losses can come in the form of the death of a loved one, an illness, an empty nest, the change of a career, or a dream that never happened. While grief is universal, our response to it is specific and varies from person to person and I’ll be your guide through the process.

Trauma: Using EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), I help you process single-incident traumas as well as more complex traumas you may have experienced in the past that continue to create suffering in your life.

Life Transitions: No matter if you are in your twenties or midlife, I can help you build new skills and strategies to navigate the changes that come.

Couples Therapy: Using EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), we work together to identify the negative cycles that leave you and your partner feeling disconnected. We focus on the underlying issues, fears and hurts that keep you both stuck in these distressing patterns. We then use our time in session to create and practice new ways of doing which allow both of you to share and connect with each other in more responsive and loving ways.
